Serious boy troubles...?

Ok so I realllllllllly like this guy and I have strong feelings for him. I have for the past 2 years now. My bff is really good friends with him and I am as well. She asked him if he likes me and he said no. But he flirts with me.... Alot.... And when we were hanging out with him a week ago, he said he wished his ex was there and then later he went and sat alone and I freaked out to my bff about it and she went and sat down with him and she told me the convo afterwards...: her:"you know,you shouldn't have said tht around her she's kinda sad now..." him:"really?" and my friend said he said it in a concerned voice her "yep" him:"why doesn't she ask me out?she should ask me out" her:"what would you say" him:"idk I'd have to think about it" and then two days ago she was talking to him on facebook and asked him again I he liked me and he said no only as a sister and she said "whY I she asked u out?" "idk what to do... :/" and he knows I like him... And he's confused too now and idk if he likes me or not and idk of he knows the answer to that himself... Help?
