It's my bff's bday and my stepmom..?

he is turning 18 today.i'm at summer school as we speak and my stepmom said to go straight home.is it messed up that she won't let me hang out with on his bday?she didn't even allow me to get on fb this morning and wish him a happy birthday.plus he leaves for college on july 5.we haven't been able to spend alot of quality time together because he is dating my cousin.(small world).and i don't have a phone so i can't text him when i feel sad.when he goes to college i will be really lonely.i'm going to be a junior in highschool this coming up school yr so when i graduate,he will be graduating shortly after.at least there is that to keep me happy at this point.
