When I grow up, I want to be a Surgeon?
So I've decided that I really want to be a surgeon when I grow up, and that Harvard Med is the school for me. Maybe you guys could suggest the types of surgeons, because I don't know if I want to be a specialized surgeon, or an all around. I need to know which college I attend before applying to Harvard Med will determine my acceptance, or if that college even matters. I live in Nevada if that helps. Also, I'm just a freshman, and I want to get ahead and look at colleges now, rather than later when I'll inevitably be doomed to choose. I'm taking Algebra I H, English I H, Principles of science ( My science teacher, even though I told her I need to take bio, gave me that) Spanish II H, Band, PE. Next year I hope to take Algebra II H, English II H, Chemistry AP, History AP, Spanish III H, and band; along with doing JV football. Is this a good schedule? Geometry and Biology will be done over summer school so that I can get these classes. Lets say I wanted to get into Harvard College, would graduating as a valedictorian be suffice to be looked upon by them? Also, I don't think I could pay for tuition to a higher university, what kind of scholarships should I be looking out for? I play tuba, and am actually really good. If I'm correct, I can get a scholarship for that?
