A question for American Liberals regarding the morality of taxing the rich?

If you want to know what the moral thing to do is read the Bible, of the text of what ever religion you follow. As I recall the bible say you should give 10% of your income ((not you adjust Gross income minus deduction) to the poor, and pay the government that taxes they require of you and at that time governments only paid for the military infrastructure and administration.
