Do you believe in destiny?

Just curious as to where this idea of fate and destiny comes from. Do you feel that you are free to make decisions that will lead to a variety of outcomes or do you feel that your life will inevitably end up with you doing the same thing and that all the decisions you make will converge. Do mention your personal religious views just to see if there is any correlation between the two
